Run a live lesson

Use a Moodle BigBlueButton activity for a course lesson so students can find it alongside their learning material.

  1. Open the course, enable Edit mode, and add a BigBlueButton activity.
  2. Give it a recognisable title and explain what students should prepare.
  3. Configure the opening/closing schedule where needed; check the displayed time zone.
  4. Save and open the activity to start the session as moderator.
  5. Admit participants according to the room settings, check audio, then share your presentation or screen.
  6. Start recording deliberately if the lesson should be recorded. Tell participants before recording.
  7. End the session when finished and allow time for recording processing.

Teachers and non-editing teachers are configured as moderators; students participate. New ASIS activities wait for a moderator. If you cannot start the lesson, ask the school to verify your teacher assignment and Moodle role.

For a meeting outside a course, use ASIS Meet. Meeting-host permission is separate from being a school teacher.
