Prepare a statement of cash flows

Cash-flow reporting depends on a reviewed accounting configuration, not just selecting a date range.

  1. Open Finance → Masters → Cash-flow Configurations.
  2. Choose the accounting policy explicitly: IAS 7 or IAS 7 with IFRS 18 amendments. The report does not switch policy automatically by date.
  3. Review and confirm the exact cash/cash-equivalent ledgers. Suggested cash/bank ledgers are a starting point, not an accounting judgement.
  4. Confirm the financing-liability scope and map counterpart ledgers/groups to the appropriate economic cash-flow lines.
  5. Review interest/dividend treatment and any required reasons for tax or grant classifications.
  6. Load the report for the intended dates and configuration, investigate unexplained differences, then export the reviewed result.

Ledger overrides take precedence over group mappings; otherwise the nearest mapped ancestor applies. PAYE remittances are not the school’s own income taxes. Ask the school’s finance lead to approve accounting-policy choices and adjustments.

Permission to display a report does not automatically grant permission to change its configuration or adjustments.
